#3 Past Film Analysis
As I am starting my final project I wanted to reflect on my AS film so I can show growth and improvement this year!
I re-watched my film from last year and came up with some things that I could do better this year. The first thing I could change is lighting. Last year I didn't use lighting intentionally but I manipulated it so that I could make it seem like I was filming at a different time. This year I want to research and use different lighting techniques I have learned about so I can convey certain emotions and meaning.
Another thing I can improve is my use of sound. Last year I used diegetic and non-diegetic sound but I only used each of these once. This year I still want to utilize both of these but I want to make it more meaningful. Using sound bridges and adding different sounds in post-production can enhance sounds and add more meaning to scenes which is my main goal this year.
The last thing I want to heavily improve on is my camera angles. When I was filming last year I had my camera angles planned out and stuck to them. Some of those camera angles did not work how I wanted them to. This year I want to use multiple different angles in one scene while making it all look cohesive. To achieve this I will do more research and practice before I start filming.
