#4 Final Project Topic

 I have spent the past week thinking about what I am going to do for this project, I have decided to do a short film on teen romance and how a person loving you can save you. In my short film, I want to show a girl or guy who is struggling in life and feels all alone. Later in the film, they end up meeting someone who shows them that they aren't alone and are loved. To convey this meaning to the audience I want to use different lights and colors. 

I chose to do a short film because I want to show growth from last year. This would be the best way to do it since I have already figured out what I can do better this year. Short films give me more creative freedom like names and plots. It will also allow me to create deeper meanings in scenes with lighting and sound. I got the inspiration for my topic from the media. A lot of the films, books, and music I watch and listen to have a romance plot or subplot. Since it is widely shown I will be able to research different conventions and techniques and create differences to make my film unique to me. Some movies and songs that gave me inspiration for my film are "Beauty and the Beast" since it shows how Belle made the Beast become a better person and "Feels Like" by Gracie Abrams since it is about falling in love with someone.

For my characters, I have not picked names or actors. I would like to find two people who are dating in real life. I want to find a couple because I will be able to capture raw and authentic emotions between the two. Since they would already be dating I would not have to worry about any awkwardness between my actors.
