#46 Creating a Movie Poster

 Movie posters are the best way to advertise a film. They are simple but have a lot of useful information. I decided to create my own movie poster to advertise my short film on Instagram. While creating the poster, I used the critiques I got for my postcard.

I used Canva for my poster. On Canva, I found a template I liked and set a picture of my actors as the background. I chose a picture of my actors smiling together to foreshadow their relationship in the short film. Next, I added the title of my film. I used bold lettering to draw attention but kept the lettering white, so it wasn't super distracting. I then added my actors' names and the release date of my film. 

Keeping my postcard simple will make it more visually appealing for my audience. Since there is not a lot going on in the poster, my audience will be able to retain information from the poster more easily. I hope I will draw in more people with this poster!
